Batman 150! Public Domain 6! Good times

This week my wife and I travelled across the country to once again live in the forest on our little B.C. island. It’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle of working in my little studio in the big city so I can instead experience the hustle and bustle of working in a smaller studio in a much smaller non-city.

I don’t want to worry anyone here but I need to write eighteen scripts and draw 22 pages by the end of the year. Is it possible? Yes. Will they be of the utmost quality? Of course. Will some of the panel descriptions be, “Batman does something cool here”? Yes, absolutely.

A lot of people talk about “burnout” like it’s a bad thing. Those people are cowards. They always forget that before you burn out you burn brightly, which is extremely cool and people can toast marshmallows on you. How is that bad??

Anyway, I’ll be fine! Get off my back, mom!!

In COMIC NEWS this week, we have the extra-sized BATMAN #150! This features a special done-in-one story by myself, the legendary Denys Cowan, and Beautiful Jorge about a man who knows Batman’s secret identity! It also features this perfect panel that sums up my compulsive work disorder!

In addition to the main story, there’s part one of our Absolute Power tie-in, with the returning hero Mike Hawthorne!

Absolute Power #1 by Mark Waid and Dan Mora is also out today! It’s very good but precedes this tie-in, so you need to read it first! Don’t read this first! I’m watching you!!

In non-Batman news, the print edition of PUBLIC DOMAIN #6 is finally in stores!

Obviously my paid subscribers here have already read it, but for the rest of you, this is the beginning of a new arc with new characters and a bold future for DALLAS COMICS! Go check it out and then go BACK to the comic shop next week for THE DOMAIN #1! It’s worth the multiple trips, I swear!!
