As the year winds down I start to reflect on all my successes and failures. My successes are obviously many: I didn’t die, and I didn’t get the popular comic book title “Batman” cancelled. And my failures are all on the public record: I used Twitter, I cheated on Marvel with DC, and I ate pizza in September, blowing three years of veganism.
Yes, life is a constant series of highs and lows, but it’s nice to find out that I’ve just been named Multiversity’s Best Writer of 2022.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Where’s Kieron Gillen on the list? Well, he’s at number four. Below another Brit and a (shudder) Australian. Ouch! That’s got to hurt!
In other news, Newsarama kindly put Pubic Domain on their Best Comics of 2022 list. Boy oh boy all these lists better mean I sell a million copies of the collection when it’s in shops January 18!! Just in time for 24 days after the holidays!!!
Speaking of the holidays, I wanted to share a couple of my older holiday comics. I’ve mentioned MONSTER COPS before, which were my all-ages go-to characters whenever I was invited to contribute to an anthology. Obviously this was, uh, years before I ever heard the term “copaganda,” so please don’t be mad!! It’s just dumb fun!!!!
