To my American friends, don’t be intimidated by a George Washington packing a heater. Go out and vote.
I’m gonna keep it short today because I’m sure everyone’s mind is on, you know, the fate of the free world and democracy, etc. First up, strangely enough, is news on my series ABOUT America, AVENGERS: TWILIGHT. I just found out that Booklist gave it a starred review, which is apparently a big deal for people into books and/or lists, I guess?
Tomorrow I’ve got two comics out, both pretty special to me. The first is BATMAN #154, which is special because the great Carmine Di Giandomenico did the art. Carmine and I worked on THE KNIGHT together, so it was really nice having him join me for a part of my final Batman story. It also features my favourite ending of any Batman issue I’ve worked on. It’s, as the kids say, a doozy.
The next is PUBLIC DOMAIN #10, the end of our second arc. It’s a big one, both literally and figuratively. Thirty-one pages of relationship drama, the proudest I’ve ever been about something I’ve written and drawn.
Below ye olde paywall is the full issue in PDF and CBZ format. I hope you like it.
Good luck out there. Tomorrow will be hard, it just will be. But look around at the people you love, bring them close, and know that love remains.
