Newsletter #41: Shooting Star

I never read my reviews unless they're good or bad or middling. Sorry, it's just my policy.

Well … Publisher’s Weekly reviewed the AFTERLIFT collection. They seemed to really like it, but, sadly … they only gave it one star.

I’m pretty down about it. I know my writing is BAD, I just didn’t think it was THAT bad. I’d like to say I’ll try harder to write better, but I think this is the best I can do, which clearly isn’t good enough.

Which things so uncertain, I feel very grateful that I still have some comic jobs here and there and people who want to talk to me about them. I hope I can continue to have a career, even though I have totally blown my chance to write Sandman.
