Tomorrow, my grand signing tour kicks off with THE CANADIAN COMIC BIN in Stayner, Ontario!
It’s a relatively new shop in a small town, so it should be a nice, chill time. I love small town signings. When I was a kid I went to a few store signings in my hometown of Barrie, Ontario and they were totally mind-blowing. Marshall Rogers and Dale Keown were two of the artists who came through and I just remember being able to hang out and ask them a million questions, more than likely annoying them to no end. It’s kind of the beauty of comics! What other field can you revere creators and get such open access to them? A few years ago I watched Mike Mignola (like the creep that I am!!) chatting up fans at a comic convention and was just struck by the fact that he’s one of the world’s greatest artists, spawning an actual pop culture empire, and you could just casually chat him up about Hellboy. It’s magical.
All that to say, if you’re in the area, come on by! I don’t bite (anymore, since I wear this mask)!
And next week is THE DRAGON in Guelph!

Anyway, I think literally everyone on the planet should read Sex Criminals. It’s fun and sex-positive and, frankly, I’d rather give a teen our book than a copy of Captain Punchtoomuch. But that’s just me, I guess!!!!

Keeping it short this week because holy shit do I have a lot to do before I hit the road and ChatGPT keeps telling me its “programming” won’t write scripts where horrible things happen to Daredevil! WTF
But! I did want to give a shoutout to the newest comics publisher, DSTLRY! Chip Mosher (aka “The Better Chip”) and David Steinberger are pals who gave me such a great platfrom with Comixology Originals and this new venture looks like it’ll be even better. New comics in the world! I love it.
