Everyone knows I hate James Tynion IV. He’s much younger than I am, more successful, a better person, a stronger writer, kinder, etc. Unlike me he actually has a chin so he doesn’t even need his beard, but he grows it anyway because he knows he can.
James never stops. He’s like a success shark. It’s maddening. So the fact that he teamed up with another success shark, Elsa Charretier and her talented husband PK Colinet, to make a goddamn short film because they’re not satisfied with being the best at comics is extra maddening.
ROOM SERVICE is a horror short film that they’re currently funding on Kickstarter. Backing it gets you all sorts of goodies, including a prequel comic book, so I highly recommend getting in on this. There are lots of reasons to back this project. One, it’s going to be really good, duh. Two, it’s comic creators not beholden to a horrible film making system where they don’t have control over the final product. Hi, Batgirl! Three, if it gets funded then maybe they’ll have enough money to hire me as an actor which will get me a cool credit that I can turn into a starring role in the next Fantastic Four movie or whatever. But, to be clear, I don’t want people using the #chip4roomservice hashtag as it implies that I will come to their room for sex and I don’t do that anymore.
So, yeah! Please go check it out! It’s cool and I want it to exist! They just met their initial fundraising goal, but every backer counts toward making this is as cool as can be!
This week I had to bail on the big MARVEL ZOOM SUMMIT, so instead I made a comic detailing all of my Daredevil plans for them. Obviously I can’t show it to you, but here’s a non-spoiler Elektra image from it
So, obviously things are going well.
Other than that I attended a BATMAN MEETING with all the various bat-writers and editors and we talked big 2023 plans. Nobody has agreed to my giant event where Batman just takes it easy for a change, but I’ll still keep plugging away at it.
Oh! Also, PUBLIC DOMAIN 5 came out this week! For some reason I thought it was next week because time means nothing, so this update is now officially LATE for my cherished subscribers! The big ending to our first arc!
And I’ve updated the MEGA-POST with CBZ and PDF files of the completed issue five! I’m hard at work on volume two so there’ll be a bit of a break while I bank chapters, but we’ll be back! This I swear!!
