The Main Event!

i'm a big boy now!!!

So, yesterday was Marvel’s 82nd birthday. And they don’t look a day over “comics were better when I was a kid!” To celebrate such a, uh, semi-momentous occasion, they did what I always do on my birthday: They put out a press release detailing the events of the next six months:

Fun! Good to see that Wolverine is getting out there. No idea what “Timeless” is, except that it truly sums up the past couple of years for me personally. Also, I—wait. What’s THAT? Computer: enhance!

Ugh, computer, you are shit at enhancing.

Ahh, there we go!

So, yeah! Mystery solved as to why the Daredevil title is on pause! It’s because Marco and I have been hard at work on an honest-to-god MARVEL EVENT!

Here’s what happened: Whenever I’d pitch my upcoming Daredevil story to Marvel they kept sending me bottles of champagne and telling me this is bigger than Daredevil, this is bigger than all of us. So, basically, when a daddy/mommy story loves a mommy/daddy sales department very much, they “do it” and then a Marvel Event is born! Devil’s Reign is that event. It’s big and cool and, unsurprisingly, Marco is drawing the hell out of it.

I’ll be able to talk more about it next week! Back off!
