I’m back from San Diego and Los Angeles! Comic Con was a dream/nightmare where I met so many cool people that I can’t even really talk about it without sounding like (more of) an asshole?? #chipworldproblems, am I right???
Was genuinely lovely catching up with my comic book industry friends/enemies and I left the show actually excited for the future, which is not my normal state.
On the Avengers panel I didn’t want to spoil anything about our first arc so I spoiled some stuff about the second arc in 2027:
So, that was fun! What does it all mean? I’ll never tell (until 2027 I guess).
Also, at the show, my boss at Skybound showed me why he’s the master of narrative tension:

There is truly nothing more intimidating than getting a text from Robert Kirkman saying "I'm behind you." Lots of exciting Chip stuff on the horizon between the Punisher centric second arc of Avengers and the Muppets meeting the Marvel Universe (I can't think of a better pairing that justifies this whole story than Emma Frost and Miss Piggy). Plus it's really cool you got to attend the premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. (I don't care what the mean omniscient text says, you've got something Tom Holland will never have).
Also, has anyone told you that your eyes are pretty?
it was great chatting with you at SDCC, Chip! I don't know about hotness, but I think "dude who appears to check his own fly" is definitely a better look than "dude who appears to have a stylist check his fly."
