I love your relationship with Mark Waid. It’s like he volunteered for a Big Brother program and got you for a Little Brother, but in a heartwarming twist, it was you who taught him the true meaning of happiness. Until you wrote more issues of Daredevil than him and he spiraled out of control. I’d watch that Lifetime Channel TV movie.
It's crazy to think that Armageddon was teased all the way back in October 2025 with that sick teaser poster and we are now officially one week away from the release of issue one. Genuinely might be the most excited I've been for a Marvel event in a while and that trailer did a great job of getting me hyped. (Also, I totally understand why you never stop going on about Kagan, as I too love him and his art).
Captain America has been terrific so far, both story and art, and Armageddon looks as if it will be too. Very well told, with solid emotional grounding and a nice sense of when to push the story forward and when to let it breathe, and when to blow the roof off.
Sadly, though, I must note your rather inconsistent attitude toward MAD Magazine. You're perfectly willing to glory in its success, and eager to mention how many people it made happy, and how important that is. But does that mean you'll actually lift a finger to produce another issue?
And what are you doing instead? You list a mere twelve publications from now to the middle of November. Of those five are reprints. (And how long does it take to write "KAPOW!!!", anyway?) Why, they gave you a Captain America book to write, and the first thing you do is to kill him off! Talk about making things easy for yourself.
You'll need to apply yourself if you're going to make it in this industry, Chip. You don't want to end up like that poor wannabe Mark Waid.
Holy crap that trailer is amazing! Just the build up and the tease of what’s to come (Reset what?) has me on edge for what is about to happen. I also love the team you assembled to take on Ross and his new nation state of Latveria.
I can only assume news about Steve’s unfortunate demise is more than enough incentive for Tony and the troops to rally and bring hell, or as much as they can, to Ross’ door. I do hope we get a lot of angry avengers laying as much of a beat down as they can upon Ross for what he did to Cap.
And poor Sharon. I dont know if she has any role in this event at all, but if she does, I hope we will get to see some of her heartbreak and anger at losing Steve, and see her live up to her new moniker and DESTROY Ross and his ambitions. Hell hath no fury like a woman in grief after all.
Cannot WAIT for this to drop, Chip. And I eagerly await to see what comes next for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the aftermath of Armageddon!

what is this 'happiness' you speak of
Scrooge McDuck levels of MCU and Streaming TV money to rub in the faces of one’s colleagues?

oh god you're right you're so right
You see? You got your act together and immediately found a job writing The Avengers. I'm glad we had this talk!
Armawhat?
Looks so good Chip.
And, of course, it’s all about Kagan. Really looking forward to your next project together.
Ooh, I talked to Rafael de LaTorre about DD. He had nice things to say about working with you.

Happy almost Armageddon! And have a great weekend Chip.
Aw, Rafael! He's the best! Miss working with him!
I hope you can find project(s) that will permit you to work with Rafael & Marco again, Chip.
Me too!
You can write a crossover event but have untied shoelaces?
wild but true
