Remember that seen in Season 2 of True Detective (I only watched the whole of season 2 because season 1 was so amazing, but if I could have those hours of my life back I would definitely take that trade) where Vince Vaughn is talking to Bullseye in a cop’s uniform and they say something like:
“I’m rather apoplectic.”
“I’m rather apoplectic, too”
And then you think, “there’s no fucking way these two guys would say that! I don’t even fucking know what that means!” But then you looked it up and thought, “those guys are super duper calm for being apoplectic.”
Spoiler, that true story happened to me. I’m so glad I looked up that word because I totally just read it for the first time in my life, not counting subtitles, and knew what it meant. ... maybe I wouldn’t make that trade after all.
Also, this is the funniest substack that exists. It really brings me so much joy.
My Spidey sense is telling me our lovable Chip has been replaced by a doppelganger from the Cool Ranch of Chips (it's like the Council of Reeds, but comprised of alternate universe Zdarskys). The dead giveaway is in the way this one is scribbling a "forward" in books instead of a "foreword".
Wait! I think this is how there are so many goddamn great Zdarsky comics out on the stands! There's a whole Cool Ranch writing team!
Imagine writing the main book while starring in the film.
A whole documentary can be filmed watching as you slowly descend into Reed’s identity and losing your own completely as writing and filming stress taking a toll on your psyche.
Pitch that to Feigie! Imagine that the first in continuity MCU documentary bridging the multiverse of our world to the MCU.
here are my top 10 favorite things from this substack (or at least 10 top-adjacent favorite things):
"Hollywood is truly done with undeserving white guys"
"wet joke"
"the stretchy smartman" (WHY DON'T THEY CALL HIM THAT? DO THEY NOW?)
"mr. wolverine"
"realizing that Toronto was truly a character in my work, I did what any sensible person would do: I copyrighted that character." (you ARE the stretchy smartman)
"It’s so sad that I’ll never get to experience the magic of meeting me since I am me" (are you sure?)
"the cliffhanger I’ve been waiting to drop" (this is a cliffhanger ABOUT A CLIFFHANGER)
Apoplectic? Settle down Chip! You'll always be Reed Richards in our hearts.
OH SNAP!

I met Ramon in Chicago this year. He signed my Stillwater issue 1 and we talked about art and Spider-Man and you. He was a really cool guy
Ramon's not very cool, but he's a pretty decent dude imo
Cool
Hmmm. This seems suspicious.

Your campaign certainly deserve more traction.
