Just here to confirm that despite what you may have heard about 'troop movements' of 'cat-eared guerilla warrior women on the Canadian border' that regardless of what is going on in Gotham, Chip and I have called a tenuous cease-fire.
So if Bruce and Seline go to Kaptara will their war end?

quick question: when you were writing daredevil, wasn't there a war there also? is this just the same war but with different characters and storylines?

Originally I believed this was going to be an even split between those supporting Selina, and those supporting Batman. After reading that battle lines issue, I am almost certain that this is basically going to be Bruce and Zur going against the family and Selina and her crew.
But damn if I don’t feel increasingly worried about Bruce’s mental state, I mean besides the alternate persona he artificially created and is slowly eroding his mind, of course. It feels more and more like Bruce is losing his grip on the world, because more and more he’s starting to feel that the city doesn’t really need Batman anymore. And without Batman, what, or rather who, is Bruce Wayne? If anything I feel like this war is more or less Bruce trying to still justify his existence as Batman.
On the flip side, Selina is acting as though what she is doing is going to end up really changing things. That by condoning certain crimes against certain people, things will get better as a result. And that is the crux of it all I think. She believes, in the end, that it’s ok to take from the rich, because they can afford it, and that by taking all the henchmen off the playing table, it will in turn curtail more of her crazier associates in Gotham. But I honestly think that while she has good intentions, she underestimates the lengths some of these supervillains will go for their ambitions. Lackies or not, many of them are able to function on their own. If anything it only makes them more dangerous when they have to do all the leg work.
I have to admit, I like how things are set up for bat and cat here. Both have points, and both are wrong as well. The only thing I wonder is which of them will realize this war will quickly become less than a battle of egos between the two of them, and which one will, proverbially speaking, blink first. If at all.
Anywho, looking forward to what this war ends up like, and more importantly, the fallout. Because as I understand it, on the heels of this, joker is coming back to town, for what is being promoted as the MOST brutal fight they have ever had before.
I think it's safe to spoil the end of DD, but I'm so hoping Matt stays a priest! The lawyer thing is so played out. Though I'd also be curious to see Matt Murdoch, Guidance Counselor.
I'm in on Gotham War. I've always felt bummed about the plight of Gotham's henchfolk.

The Zurr Em Arrh plot has hooked me as I've always been fascinated by Batman's severe paranoia.
