JOKER: YEAR FUN!!

oh hey what’s up

Yeah! For the month of February we’re putting out a special story within the pages of Batman called THE JOKER: YEAR ONE! Giuseppe Camuncoli and Andrea Sorrentino have come onboard to make this a really cool looking story. It takes place in two time periods: the period directly after The Joker’s creation in the chemical vat, and some time in the future as Batman tries to unravel a mystery. It’s been fun attempting to dance between the raindrops of continuity on this one!

Anyhoo, it’s cool and pretty and I hope people dig it when it drops. Also! Jorge is still going strong! He’s leading us into this storyline and picking up right after in issue 145!

And yeah, I did the promo piece above. It may end up being a cover? Maybe?

Over at AITP they have some sneak peeks of AVENGERS: TWILIGHT covers! Apparently Frank Miller did one?

Somebody probably said “Chip Zdarsky has a new series and we were wondering—” just as Frank cut them off to say, “THE Chip Zdarsky? I’ll do it!”

OR THEY PAID HIM A LOT OF MONEY

Wait, there’s money in comics?

Anyway, that’s cool and fun! Also, this week I designed all of the credit pages for the series. I think it’s fine if I show you the first one? I pixelated all the extra credits in case something changes because I’m very repsonsible:

Sometimes, designing comic stuff is the best part of the job. I wish I could just do Joker promo images and Avengers credit pages all day! But noooo, I have to write as well, like a sucker!!

At least I get to write for the best in the biz, baby! Like Marvel superstar Jason Loo! You can see the preview of ALL-NIGHTER 12 over at AITP, where God makes our crew some blood milkshakes!
