Wow the Trudeau thing is so crazy to me on every level just made the guy seem even cooler to me. As a former boxer and a liberal always respected the guys politics and walloping of Patrick Brazeau but as a life-long comic book reader absolutely love that he took that picture and knew who you were. Choosing a coronation of a king over coming to the signing however seems... pretty WACKY

I’m actually on a re-read of your entire run right now, and just finished up Devil’s Reign a little bit ago. Every time I read that story, I’m awed at how, I believe it’s Marco, manages to draw characters like kingpin, rhino, and especially doctor octopus.
Also that mob scene with kilgrave being carried by the thralls, that always creeps me out seeing that guy, so unhinged as he is. Shame he never made more of an appearance in your run till the DR event.
So back to the big apple we go. Does this mean catching up with the stromwynns again? Cause before u finish up those two need to be handled. Desperately.
Hey also, any chance of catching up with Butch and seeing how he’s been doing as new Kingpin of NYC? I kinda wonder now that his dad’s a Krakoa citizen by way of his marriage to Mary, if that means butch also gets citizenship. If it did, wouldn’t it mean he’s protected from prosecution due to the law agreement between the USA and Krakoa? Fun food for thought.
Can’t wait to read 11 chip, and hope the rest of ur tour goes well

On a more serious costume note, a Daredevil costume question: When you decided to have Elektra become DD (and Matt’s costume to echo hers in the current volume), can you share how you described their costumes? Did you have input on the designs or just let Marco do his thing?
Also, thank you for bringing in Rafael de LaTorre. His style was a great compliment to Marco’s art. I hope you work with Marco & Rafael again at some point.
I am looking forward to Daredevil 11, and also hope the Stromwyns get theirs.

I don't recall giving a lot of direction! Just to make sure there was a bit of a ninja feel to it all. Marco basically nailed it right away. His first attempt was perfect, just like he is!
And yeah, Rafael is great. I pointed him out to my DC bosses, so now he's doing the new Penguin book with Tom King so I may never see him again!!!
This was absolutely the best thing to read on a dreary, rainy, far-too-busy Monday where I'm at. Also, I will use this to inspire my son, also named Steve, to pursue his dreams, but not be a sex criminal, or any criminal, actually, unless he's drawing them, which is totally fine though I'm sure my wife will want him to have "something to fall back on" in case the presidency thing doesn't pan out.

I knew the story about Scrims being born on the train ride (from both you and Matt I think, at Cartoon Crossroads Columbus), but not the Trudeau part if I remember correctly. It makes the story even better! It did make me wonder though: how did you and Matt get connected in the first place? Like, if Sex Criminals is the baby bundle of joy - as evinced by the infamous variant cover - produced by the consummation of your creative union, what was the meet-cute like?

Ha! As always, I don't want to ruin anything coming up! But I will absolutely agree on Marco's art. He made Doc Ock look COOL! No easy feat!

As to making doc ock look cool, I’m putting it down to the jacket. High collar and menacing, sold him very well.
