Plus: THE KNIGHT! DAREDEVIL! VIDEO CONTENT!
I’m not going to beat around the bush here. Everyone wants to celebrate my PUBLIC DOMAIN (in stores now) Eisner win with parades and champagne, but that’s in the past! I can’t rest on my (many) laurels when there are so many new books coming out! This week is BANANAS!!
First up, NEWBURN is back! Issue nine has Easton hunting down a dead mobster while being hunted himself! I’m pretty proud of this arc as Jacob and I have been building our way to big trouble for Mr. Newburn.
It also features the first part of GET BACK by David Brothers and Nick Dragotta! An incredibly special and stylish backup story:

Also out this week is the hardcover collection for BATMAN: THE KNIGHT! This ten-issue series is all about Bruce Wayne’s global journey to become Batman and is chock-full of beautiful visuals by Carmine Di Giandomenico and Ivan Plascencia.
Readers of my monthly BATMAN series are going to want to pick this up as it’s going to have ramifications in the main title! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED! (Also, I think it’s a pretty good story!)
And last, but not least, DAREDEVIL & ELEKTRA VOL. 2 is out this week!
It collects DAREDEVIL #6-10, which has some very good-looking punch-em-ups by Marco and Rafael. Highly recommended, two thumbs up, fun for the whole family.
Oh man, speaking of Daredevil, this past week at SDCC they unveiled this cool new doll (action figure):
It’s pretty fun seeing Marco’s designs out in the world like this. It feels like yesterday that he did a quick sketch of this costume, and now it’s plastic! Plastic!
Okay, I think that’s it. And while I know I said earlier that the time for celebration is OVER, I know a lot of people wanted to see Allison’s speech at the Eisners, so, here it is, via my lovely editor Francois at Urban Comics in France. Allison should deliver all of my speeches!

Also, solicits for upcoming issues have shown some...interesting developments during the Gotham War...have there ever been discussions about finding ways to keep the solicitations from spoiling things for the series at all? Or better at protecting from spoilers? Cause that October cover...there’s a billion thoughts racing through my head right now.
Anywho, great news all around for you boss man. Looking forward to all the goodies coming out this month and the next.
That list of upcoming projects is formidable. I've said it before, but I envy your productivity level.
