sometimes I feel like I'm a nepo baby of myself from ten years ago? does that make sense?
So, last night, I did an interview with Omar and Melanie at NEAR MINT CONDITION and it was incredibly fun. Lots of great questions, lots of REVELATIONS, just a super nice time! You can check it out below:
During the stream we revealed my direct market variant for the upcoming SPIDER-MAN BY CHIP ZDARSKY OMNIBUS! That’s right, I done did a drawing of Spiderman again. Really happy Marvel let me do this!
I wanted something that felt like my SPIDER-MAN: LIFE STORY cover, with the blue/red split, and this is what I came up with! I don’t have ordering information for it, but if you burst into your comic shop and shout “GIMME THAT ZEE” I think they’ll know. We all thought it was out in January, but looking on The InterNet it appears to be out mid-December? Just in time to tear through your stocking!
Anyway, this was fun to do! No matter how popular I get (very) or conceited (very) I still do enjoy drawing these characters.

Nice! That omnibus looks like it’d make a fine addition to any collection. Reminds me of all the fun coming from all the spider-man you have written in the past. I know u said that u wanna lighten ur load, but recalling ur work here, just makes me wanna see u do more spidey whenever you can. U certainly have the voice of the character down, in this, and In his appearances in ur DD runs. Be incredible to see what u and ur partner from DD could do on the main spidey title one day.
Ok not going to lie, that red and black cover for Failsafe is calling to me. Where and when can I get my hands on that variant cover? Hell I’ll just take the cover itself.
Also, the teaser for your next Batman arc seems to be teasing the return of Catwoman, but the question is if that is Selina or the new Catwoman that’s been running around lately. Very intriguing choice for your first arc that is seemingly focusing on a classic rogue gallery member, picking Catwoman I mean. I know Penguin was in the beginning of ur run, but as for the main villain, so far they have been new additions, so picking her seemingly as the first classic enemy to be featured of an arc in ur run...very interesting to say the least.
