Okay, so, a MARVEL COMICS press release went out. And it’s INCENDIARY and got tongues wagging!!

Special shoutout to Bleeding Cool for saying Marvel “cancels” the book! Cancel culture is out of control!!

Now, I’ve been around a long time, and so have you (my average reader is men in the 60-70 years-old demo), so you know that there’s a bit of a Sales & Marketing dance happening here. The Daredevil title is on pause after our giant-sized issue 36 because the events in that book kind of, uh, spiraled out of control? And Marco and I need to deal with it before we can jump back onto the Daredevil title. Will that be issue #37? Or an all-new issue #1? I can honestly say I have no idea. All I can say is that we’re continuing and have more story to tell after issue 36, especially leading to our big issue 38, which is Legacy Numbering issue 650!

I know! It’s comics! Anyway, issue 36 is being drawn by the magnificent Manuel Garcia who worked on our Daredevil Annual—

Anyway, Daredevil issue 36 is big and wild and sets up massive changes in the title and, dare I say it, the Marvel Universe?! And look at that beautiful Marco/Matt cover!

Also, a clue to where we’re headed was released this past weekend in Marvel’s Free Comic Book Day offering! I wrote a short with art by the amazing Greg Smallwood! Look at this art!

So damn good. Ask your local comic shop for a free copy! It’s free! Because Marvel loves you, <man aged 60-70>!

Also announced this week is my first STAR WARS story!

It’s co-written and drawn by Jason Loo and coloured by Megan Huang! And much like my Emperor Hulkling gig—

…Yes. And much like that one, this is Jason’s story and I’m along for the wild ride! An all-ages story about that charmer Lando! It’s STAR WARS! People love Star Wars.

So, yeah, it’s an announcement week around here. I also did interviews about LAST week’s Substack announcement! The first was with AIPT!
