Thank God you're finally off Daredevil. I mean, I can't handle it anymore. Like Matt himself, I can't be this happy every month. It's bad for me. Good riddance. And take that Marco with you! I must perform some sort of comics penance now for enjoying Daredevil suffer as much as he does. Maybe I'll just hit myself with one of those door-stopper omnibuses.

Have a great weekend!

Truly it is the end of an era. It’s going to be so strange seeing someone else plotting out the adventures of Daredevil and them not be you.

Tbh for me, ur work has been what u might call, MY run on DD, the run that I will always think back on and think of as what the character should always aspire to be, in character and in quality. And I don’t say this lightly. I’m the sorta guy who, unless something catches his eye, he’s not likely to give it much focus. Such was my attitude for DD for years...

Till you and Marco that is.

Now I’m going to have to work on readjusting my expectations for the next team, and hope I feel the same intrigue and satisfaction from their work, as I have this run.

In regards to you and mark...who has the trophy now? I get it back or did he swipe it again?

Finally, any idea when you will be able to discuss more info about the upcoming Gotham War event, without the danger of being taken out by the editorial team’s snipers?

Always great seeing what you post on here Chip.

Aw, thanks for the kind words!

And the award is actually in a prop warehouse somewhere, no joke. It travelled the world and now is entirely lost!

If I can help it I'll never talk about Gotham War until it's out! Ha! All I'll say is, it's fun and I've been having fun working on it. Trust me, the editorial team would be very happy with me talking it up more, but you know me and spoilers!! There'll be a panel at SDCC about it, I believe. I won't be there but I'll be sending in a video message.

Thanks for the past four years on DD. You and Marco both

Wha? How did that happen?

Ah, well that’s a shame. It’s near impossible to get tickets to that con, due to their returning guests first pick policy. And even if someone is selling some, they r often too pricy. I’m sure the video will make its way into the internet and I’ll enjoy it then. But in the meantime I will just eagerly be waiting to see what u have planned. U and tini of course

Oh I'm sure all the news from the SDCC panel will hit twitter and the comic news sites immediately!

Too true. It’s one of the reasons why I don’t feel too bad when I can’t make SDCC or NYCC. The news still gets out

dear chip,

thank you for this as always!

"For anyone NOT sick of me" is very funny. i continue to be healthy of you.

though, to be inclusive, what else do you have to share for people who ARE sick of you?

"In (ugh) NON-Chip news"

oh, thank you! asked and answered.

thanks again for all things!

love,

myq

PS in the states, we spell "humour" without that "u." it's "HMOUR." just in case anyone comes at yo.

I’m unsure what else to say other than that I enjoyed your daredevil run. But if I weren’t a fan of yours, I wouldn’t be here, so... I hope one day I get to write Daredevil and retcon his entire life as a superhero into an LSD hallucination of a child who just got a bunch of acid poorer into his eyes.

Matt Fraction had the travelling Harvey at ECCC 2017, and offered fans the chance to touch it in exchange for a donation to The Hero Initiative. A win-win for fans and The Hero Initiative, but maybe not for you - who knows what kind of pre-Covid cooties ended up on your award

that fuckin' thing has seen more of the world than me smh

Are there any non-villain mascots for McDonalds?! You can never trust a clown and the hamburglar flaunts his crimes.

That promotional art you did has been my phone lock screen since you released it, so I’ve definitely gotta get that variant cover.

Hi Chip,

Poor Grimace. He doesn’t look nefarious, more like a giant, bipedal Ube gumdrop.

Just saying: That Daredevil 14 cover is perfect for a Remarque.

I won’t say my final thank you for Daredevil just yet. I will enjoy your last two issues with Marco & Matt. Now I understand why I call your DD my favorite soap opera.

I wish you were a part of the goddamn treat Marco is moving onto…but I get it.

May you have a great weekend, Chip.

Thinking good things for you, Marco & Rafael at the Eisners in 3 weeks.

I won't lie, I'm already pretty jealous of the next writer who gets to work with Marco!11

You mentioned Grimace but NOT The Hamburgler! I guess he’s not having a moment, but I must say I’m disappointed, Chip.

I believe that The Hamburglar has never answered for his crimes

If Marvel gets the rights to the McDonalds villains, then you can author a new series on the Hamburglar and resolve the injustice.
