Chip, did you read Tom Brevoort's latest post where he talks about Marvel parties in the '90s? It's completely hilarious. Basically models in cosplay were pouring vodka down ice sculptures of Professor X while artists (I assume it was the artists and not the writers) were blowing lines and banging it out in the bathroom.
I was half asleep when I just sent my last comment but your "recommendation letter" reminded me of the time I actually sent Geoff Johns my copy of The Three Jokers #1 to sign at one of his signings for CGC. I actually wrote a whole note on the front of the window bag telling him how I'm a freelance actor and would be great in any of his productions including all my contact info and telling him to feel free to get in touch with me anytime. Shocker.....still waiting.
