I'm starting to think Chip was born to write cover blurbs. Has anyone shown these covers to Vanity Fair or Cosmopolitan? The sex appeal is through the roof!

Question for the Q&A - I heard they offer you ulimate spiderman , but turn it down but you had good reasons on why you didn't do it . Hickman create the version of peter parker/ spidey that we know in the comic that he's doing rn is doing now. Maybe hickman had ideas or pitches of version of peter that wasnt finalized, But if you did take the offer , what would your version of Peter and spiderman be like ? * TRICK QUESTION am i right ??) I know you would add mj married with peter ofc ( they are together forever)

Q&A: where do you stand on the Parker/Watson marriage? Does it limit the writer or is the writer not imaginative enough?

Q2: is there a way to vote for our favorite line from the gag strip? Mine is, "No, MORE mutants." You can make a killing on that t-shirt.

Q&A Question! How do events work when you’re planning out a Big 2 story? For example, did editorial give you a far enough heads up about the king in black event when you were working on Daredevil and do you have a say whether or not the character(s) you’re working with can or can’t be involved in that event?

Follow-Up Q&A question (if I am allowed more than one) When working with any sort of licensed character, are you given resources to help make the job easier? Like when you began working on Batman did the editorial team give you a run down on what had previously happened with the characters and what you can and can’t do with them? Maybe give you access to stories you may need to read beforehand? Or do they throw you to the wolves and trust that you can keep their lights on by writing cool epics on a month to month basis that captivate the readers and make them spend an absurd amount of money on variant covers (I’m readers Teehee)

I love that cover for ZCN and can't wait for that and your short story in the FCBD FF/X-Men book next year.

Question for the Q&A: Are there any series that you're currently reading (ether big two or indie) that you feel like more people should be reading?

I really enjoy when writers or artists slip another comic creator into a crowd scene, a big fight, or the like. They seem like little tributes or nods to friends or opportunities to recognize people with talent. Have you ever, or are you aware of, any especially good snarky / dismissive / or (comically or otherwise) negative cameos, and what are the stories behind them?

I’m so frustrated by all of this that I spent the $35 dollar annual membership. I went hard in the paint for Chip, if that’s even your name (the more I’m finding out about you…). For you to be making an upcoming projects listing till May with still no announcement? Do I have to wait till Christmas?

Your peers have the Ultimate, Energon, 3Moons, 4Buttholes and Absolute Universe… BKV over here with the Staples universe, sorry, Saga.

And this Chip (?) guy doesn’t announce anything? So am I to imagine a world where you weren’t invited into one of these projects, and you declined without something in the pipeline.

So take money, and *pokes do something with it.

/s where applied, please don’t ban me.

believe it or not I have turned down all of those ventures except for the 4Buttholes one which I'm EXTREMELY interested in

I love you and make comment with love.

And I believe you because I’ve listened. But oh man, I’d buy anything you dropped you got me salivating.

Q: you seem to have amazing work-life boundaries. did that come naturally, or did you have to work at it, and if so, how? like, for instance, how does one finish work by a certain time - do you ever not accomplish everything you set out to do that day, and do you disregard any emergencies and your colleagues in different time zones if they don't fall into your work hours?

also a another Q&A , do you mind if I do my own fan fiction of the domain, the original? ( and its for myself) ik I told you about this , and comic con I told you if you had ideas of it and you said you were thinking about it . if there is one thing I regret not saying to you on comic con is that " the domain seems like a interesting character , yes he wears a mask and wears blue suit and underwear but I believe who can add some style and charm in that character is you " and that's my second question ~

My gosh, Batman 155! It’s almost as great as your ZCN Chip-Bat cover. I love when you & Jorge Fornes work together Chip.

And I remember that 😂 spread in Original Sin (Your two pages are my still favorite moment in that event. Now I’ll have to reread the Namor Invader mini series to see if you did top those OS Namor panels.)

Questions:

Of the characters you’ve created for Marvel & DC which is your favorite?

Is there a genre you want explore, but haven’t yet?

What are your favorite covers you produced for Marvel? Would you consider showing the work in process?

What notes did you give to Marvel Studios about Reed Richards & Cole North*?

*Of course I had to slip a DD reference in.

Thanks, Chip!

Have a great week.

She who is so bummed she is not going to CCC.

I love that you manned the polygraph. And did Tom King essentially steal this concept for Heroes In Crisis (albeit with slightly less humor)?

Question: from a creator-owned perspective, is there a genre you particularly enjoy or want to try? From Kaptara to Newburn to All-nighter, you’ve covered a lot of genres. Hell you’re even doing time travel! (Of course, it does come down to how wonderfully character-driven your work is.)

Chip, it's not fair you do what is probably your best issue of Batman right when you're leaving. I would read 100s of issues of you covering Jim and his drama. I guess Public Domain is a relationship drama book (and most likely your magnum opus), but still. That pairing is so out of left field and spicy; I want more!
