Everything I've seen of it looks phenomenal and your work on Batman has me convinced that it is a must read as a longtime fan of the Scarlet/Occasionally Yellow/One Time He Wore A Black Suit Swashbuckler!

Is there any chance you could nudge Marvel to still release a final OHC to complete your run?! I’m worried they’re going to abandon the last OHC since they announced the Omni.
Whew! Glad you’re not dead, Chip. As you saw on Instagram, I am happily Daredipping again with the DD v. 1 Omnibus. Can’t wait to own this run as an oversized edition. Do you know if the Director’s Cut for DD v. 6 #1 will be included in the omnibus too?

Please tell me you suggested that Saladin and Aaron keep Matt looking sexy especially when he’s crying.

And holy crap. Only 2 more issues. I can’t even believe we have come this far, and that the end is in sight. Tbh I kinda was hoping the finale for ur run would have been a big fight between frank and Matt, but I’m certain whatever you’re planning will be worth it’s weight in re-sale, I MEAN GOLD! Worth its weight in gold...yeh, that’s what I meant..hahaha.
Also this issue of Batman. Touch of longing and angst, with a pinch of wholesomeness. Though I feel compelled to ask, why is it that Bruce always seems to sabotage his own life with his decisions? Also his mentality that without him, nothing can work here like this in Gotham. Or in the family. I can’t tell if that’s him talking, or Zur whispering in his mind. By the by, has it always been that easy for him to chat with Zur? I figured there would be more involved in the process, but hey, I’m not complaining.
Though maybe it’s me, but Selina seemed a little bit witchy with bats there. And he didn’t even blame her for the crime she went to jail for, only that she made herself a fugitive by breaking out. I mean I think he was honestly being more reasonable then he normally is if you ask me. Course her bombshell revelations probably have done some considerable damage to their relationship. Poor guy can’t catch a break. Seriously, Why can’t Bruce find a nice girl who isn’t. Super criminal, terrorist, part of a secret society, or using him for their own ends?
Is there really no woman out there that’s normal and is good for Bruce?
Well I mean there was one, Silver St. Cloud, but we know how that turned out.
Well, enjoy the break, and we will see u back on the bat book after we wake up from Knight Terrors...IF we wake up that is of course.
Bruce will always have problems, internal and external, because us writers need to keep telling stories! And yeah, Zur is definitely having an effect and no, them talking like this isn't a normal thing! Or at least not to this degree.
But...but...he only says this because he cares (though sometimes I wonder why given how fickle and klepto her personality can be). Is it his fault he has a hard time emoting without being Bat Judge on their actions? Is it?
Oh absolutely. Bruce is too toxic to himself, let alone any partners he has, to have a healthy relationship with. With Selina you at least know the sex will be great, know you need to keep an eye on your valuables, and that she has this thing about leather and whips. What’s not to love, lmao
Seems like the Red Mask case may have left some lingering side-effects on Bruce, besides whatever stuff Mr T found when he has his check up. I have to say I’m getting worried about Bruce. He’s holding things too close to the chest, keeping stuff from the others more than he used to, and like u said, Zur is behaving WAY differently from how he is supposed to be functioning. Between him and the multiverse Joker threat, I can tell which danger is worse for Bruce and Batman.
Side note: belen’s art there at the end with the family is so great. I especially liked seeing Tim and Steph interacting again. Don’t see much of those two together and I miss them a lot. Hopefully there will be more Red Robin and Spoiler down the line here in future issues.
The chocolate chips had me laughing under my breath. Literal sweetness to rot your teeth moments like this are things I live for with super hero families. Also, maybe I missed it, but was Bitewing absent here in that scene?
